Ross Dallow in Detail
Full Name: Ross Moran Dallow
Nickname: The name “White Devil” came from Dallow’s Thai Boxing background. In 2009 he met Ray Elbe (Tiger Muay Thai and MMA) at a competition in Thailand. The two became friends and Ross started training at the Tiger Muay Thai gym with Ray. In time Ross began to understand that locals had a term for westerners which was “Kwai”, meaning “Buffalo”. Dallow found this to be amusing and began to play with the name addressing himself as “Kwai” and often used his hands to make buffalo horns on his head.
After a fight at Martial Combat in Singapore, Dallow defeated his opponent by choke and celebrated with the “Buffalo Horns” gesture, the media misunderstood it to be devils horns and so the name “White Devil” started sticking to Ross.

Ross Dallow Biography
Ross Moran Dallow was born on the 24th of March, 1974 in Canberra, Australia. He moved to New South Wales when he was 9 years of age, namely to Wagga Wagga where he spent most of his formative years. Though Ross was not into competitive sports growing up, he was always interested in fighting, and decided to start training a martial art in his mid teens. The chosen martial art was Zen Do Kai Karate, and Dallow became a black belt in that discipline by the age of 18.
Like many others before and after him, Ross Dallow discovered Brazilian Jiu Jitsu after getting his hands on a copy of the first UFC. Seeing Royce Gracie compete made Dallow want to find out more about BJJ, and so he decided to start grappling. His first BJJ lesson came at the age of 24 and Dallow’s first coach was Tony Morris who was himself a student of John Will. Ross and his brother got to enjoy Jiu Jitsu and wanted to further develop their game, so they moved to Geelong where they could train with a black belt.
Ross started training as much as he could with John Will, but Ross’s brother trained with John Donehue. Though Ross received his blue belt from Will, with time he started training with his older brother alongside Donehue. In 2009 Donehue brought to the gym Carlos Vieira to coach, Vieira is a world class coach and competitor and Ross Dallow saw de benefits of training with that calibre of coaching. When Vieira parted with Donehue, Ross followed him out. On July 10th 2011, Ross Dallow received his black belt from Carlos Vieira, becoming his very first Australian born black belt.
