Brasil 021

A team led by Andre Negao, with the support of Jiu Jitsu extraordinaire, Hannette Staack. The team has affiliates in the United States and Brazil. Here are a few of its most important figures.

A former tri-athlete, Guilherme Cascon is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under the illustrious Master Carlos Henrique, who coaches at the Brazil 021 team academy in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Guilherme has reached the podiums of important tournaments throughout his competitive career, such as the Brasileiro and the Copa Rolls Gracie.

Leandro Lora (Brazil 021)

Leandro Lora is a representative of the Brazil 021 Jiu Jitsu team. A former Kioto team member, Leandro has earned his black belt from the prestigious Master Carlos Henrique on July 2010.

Thiago Leiras (Brazil 021)

Thiago Leiras is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under the prestigious Flavio Aleluia and a member of the Brazil 021 BJJ team. Having medalled in important tournaments such as the Rio Open, Copa América and Copa Cyclone, Leiras reached the degree of black belt in August 2011.

Flavio Aleluia (Brazil 021)

Flavio Aleluia is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Master Carlos Henrique, and one of the head coaches at the Brazil 021 academy. A black belt since 1998, Flavio Aleluia is also considered to be André Negão Terêncio’s right hand man at the academy.

Gabriel Ribeiro is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Master Carlos Henrique, under whom he graduated in 2010. A team member of the Brazil 021 academy, Gabriel has medalled in prestigious Rio de Janeiro tournaments such as the Copa Conde Coma the Carlson Gracie Cup and the Gavazza Cup.

Thiago Rogerio dos Santos (Brazil 021)

Thiago Rogerio dos Santos is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under André “Negão” Terencio and one of the main instructors at the Brasil 021 team. Though Thiago is an instructor at Brasil 021, he also competes having achieved some important titles such as the Niteroi state championship and a bronze medal at the New York Open.

Antonio de Melo is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Masters Robson Gracie and Geraldo Gonçalves Flores who is currently part of the Brazil 021 team, a team led by the legendary Hanette Staack, Andre Terencio and Carlos Henrique. Melo has been a BJJ black belt since 1993, having medalled in important tournaments such as the LINJJI and the International Masters & Seniors IBJJF competition.

Fernando Monteiro is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under the great master Francisco Mansor. The former Niteroi league champion has trained BJJ since 1977, and is one of the most experienced members of the prestigious Brasil 021 team.

Carlos Henrique is a 5th degree black belt under master Francisco Mansor who has medalled in important tournaments such as the International Masters & Seniors, the Pan American & the Brasileiro (Brazilian Nationals). Carlos Henrique is also one of the leaders of the Brazil 021 team, an important team that has raised champions such as Hanette Staack.

Andre Negao Terencio, a legendary Jiu Jitsu instructor responsable for the coaching of many World Champions.

Hannette Staack one of the most accomplished grapplers in the world and an historical jiu jitsu black belt from Andre “Negao”. A founding members of the Brazil 021 BJJ team, Hannette Staack has won numerous medals in important tournaments such as the world championships (6x) and the ADCC (3x), arguably the world’s toughest submission wrestling tournament.
