Gracie Barra

One of the most recognized academies in the Jiu Jitsu world, the Gracie Barra franchise is also one of the oldest teams in BJJ. This is a gathering of some of the biggest names in it’s history, amongst them the inevitable Carlinhos Gracie and Marcio Feitosa.

Pablo Silva

A Brazilian Jiu Jitsu World Champion (2010), European Champion (2009) and Brazilian National Champion (2009) in the black belt division, Pablo Silva from Gracie Barra has been one of the top contenders of the Pluma and Galo weight divisions, with one of the most dangerous guards in BJJ today.

Maurício Mariano

Mauricio “Tinguinha” Mariano is a historical figure in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, having won important trophies such as the Brazilian National. He was a revolutionary of the open guard having created several techniques from that position. He was also one of the first members of Gracie Barra to travel to the United States.

Roberto “Tussa” Alencar

A very talented black belt under Carlinhos Gracie, this Gracie Barra powerhouse has been a menace in the heavier jiu jitsu weight divisions for a few years with wins against some of the best fighters in the world. He has been living in Albuquerque for the last few years, though this hasn’t stopped his rampant success.

Kayron Gracie

He is the son of Gracie Barra founder Carlinhos Gracie and member of the famous Gracie family. Kayron is also one of the brightest stars in Jiu Jitsu’s middleweight division, with many important wins at black belt level, since obtaining his black belt in 2009.

Fredson Paixao

Fredson Paixao is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under master Osvaldo Alves. A former World BJJ Champion with numerous other important titles in the sport of Jiu Jitsu, Fredson Paixao was also famed for going from purple belt straight to black belt without stopping at brown belt. A natural athlete, Paixão picked up a career in MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) in the mid 2000’s. first fighting in local shows such as Jungle Fight, then moving to the WEC and later hitting the big stage – UFC.

Kyra Gracie

One of the greatest ambassadors of Jiu Jitsu in Brazil and throughout the World, Kyra is an example of success in a sport ruled by men. She is also the first female BJJ black belt from the Gracie family to compete (and win) at the highest level.

Fabio Leopoldo

With a fantastic list of achievements, this natural born competitor was one of Sao Paulo’s start jiu jitsu practitioners. Today living in the United States where first came to compete in MMA’s IFL, he teaches in California at the Gracie Morumbi headquarters.

Renato Migliaccio

Renato Migliaccio is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Ryan Gracie. A former European and Pan American Champion, Renatinho (as he is comonly known) has also been fortunate in submission wrestling and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)

Roger Gracie

One of the most accomplished jiu jitsu competitors in the world, Roger Gracie has won over 10 BJJ world jiu jitsu championship medals, including 3 golds in the open weight division, a deed never done before. Roger Gracie has other titles such as the ADCC championships, European Open and Pan American Championship, as well as a career in Mixed Martial Arts – MMA.

Rafael dos Anjos

Rafael dos Anjos is a fantastic MMA fighter with an amazing record fighting for the UFC. He is also a great Black Belt from the Gracie Barra team. Get to know more about this great lightweight fighter, from how he started in BJJ to his climb through the MMA ranks.

Braulio Estima

Braulio Estima is one of the best jiu jitsu fighters around. A multi time World Champion and an ADCC Open Weight Gold Medallist, there are not many fighters out there with a better resume then this gentleman from Recife.
