Outi Järvilehto

Outi Järvilehto is an accomplished grappler from Finland, and a black belt in Brazilian jiu jitsu under Demian Maia. One of the top representatives of the Brasa Clube de Jiu Jitsu academy in Europe, Outi Järvilehto earned her reputation by winning important podium placements in tournaments such as the World, European and Finnish National championships.

Rodrigo Pinheiro

Rodrigo Pinheiro is a jiu jitsu black belt under Ulisses Paixão, having also trained extensively with legendary coaches/competitors such as Saulo Ribeiro and Royler Gracie. One of the top athletes of his generation, Pinheiro would make a career also as a grappling coach from his San Antonio – TX academy Rodrigo Pinheiro BJJ.

Tiago Pereira

Tiago Pereira is one of the top Brazilian jiu jitsu competitors of his generation, particularly in the Master division, where he earned important titles such as the World Masters and the World No-Gi Championship. Pereira earned his black belt under the illustrious Admilson “Juquinha” Brites, having represented both Gracie Humaitá and the Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu associations throughout his career.

Tiago Bravo

Tiago Bravo is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Muzio de Angelis. Known for his work as a coach in the United Arab Emirates Tiago Bravo is also one of the top featherweight competitors of his generation, having medalled in important tournaments such as the Abu Dhabi World Pro Championship, the Brazilian No-Gi Nationals as well as the Abu Dhabi Grand Slam.

Breno Bittencourt

Breno Bittencourt is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Alan Moraes, and a representative of the Carlson Gracie lineage in the sport. A member of the AMBJJ association, one of the most fruitful branches of the Carlson Gracie Academy, Breno Bittencourt made a name for himself during his brown belt campaign, by conquering two Brazilian National titles, as well as a South American championship.

Fabricio “Bicudo”

Fabricio Medeiros, commonly known as Fabricio “Bicudo” is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Renato Tavares and former member of teams such as Associação Oriente, Carlson Gracie Academy and Checkmat. Bicudo is also an accomplished athlete in other combat sports such as mixed martial arts (MMA) and freestyle wrestling.

Luiz Tosta

Luiz Tosta, also known as Ceará is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Mario Reis and a professional mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter, known for his affiliation with the historic London Shootfighters team. Originally from Brazil, Tosta built his combat sports career in England, from where he earned important jiu jitsu titles such as European Open Champion (Gi + No-Gi) and London International Open Champion, while leading a successful MMA career.

Marcus Antelante

Marcus Antelante is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Rafael “Formiga” Barbosa, and former student of André “Negão” Terêncio, who is known as one of the strongest middleweights of his generation. A representative of the Soul Fighters Academy, Marcus Antelante moved to the US in 2011 where he established himself as a top competitor in the Master division, winning titles such as the Pan American and No-Gi Worlds.

Muslim Patsarigov

Muslim Patsarigov is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt of Chechen nationality, developed by coach Felipe “Gargamel” Mota from his academy in Sandnes – Norway. Known for his strong freestyle wrestling background, Patsarigov earned his reputation as one of the top super-heavyweights in the world through his performances in tournaments such as Abu Dhabi World Pro Championship, World No-Gi Championship and European Open Championship.

Talita Alencar

Talita Alencar is a jiu jitsu black belt under Theodoro Canal. An grappler who built her career in the lower belts of the sport, Talita competed extensively for GF Team before changing to the Alliance Academy in 2016, where she joined forces with Rubens Charles “Cobrinha”.

Wagner Mota

Wagner Mota is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Eduardo Telles and Fernando Tererê, being well known in the grappling circuit as Demian Maia’s coach during the fighter’s tremendous MMA career competing at UFC. Mota is also a historic figure for jiu jitsu in his home country – particularly in the state of São Paulo.

Josh Hinger

Josh Hinger is an American born Jiu Jitsu black belt, a rank earned from André Galvao at the Atos Jiu Jitsu academy in San Diego, California. A specialist in both the Gi and No-Gi aspects of jiu jitsu, Hinger won many important trophies as a middleweight (82kg/181lbs) competitor in the sport’s international circuit, including titles in the American No-Gi Nationals, Chicago International Open (Spring and Summer), Seattle International Open, Gracie Worlds.

Luca Anacoreta

Luca Anacoreta is an Italian born jiu jitsu black belt, founder of Aeterna Jiu Jitsu Academy in Rome – IT. Anacoreta is known as one of the first Italian black belts to achieve success at the highest level in BJJ, particularly in the IBJJF circuit, where he conquered important medals in tournaments such as the European Open (Gi and No-Gi), London Open, Madrid Open and numerous others.

Carlos Farias

Carlos Farias is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Roberto Traven, and an ultra-heavyweight competitor with numerous medals in the IBJJF and UAEJJF tournament circuits, including in important events such as the Pan American, World Masters, Abu Dhabi World Pro Trials and the American Nationals. Farias is also known for competing as in the adult division, while being on a Master 3 category.

Ariadne Oliveira

Ariadne Oliveira is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt promoted by her father Manoel João Costa, owner of the Iron Jiu Jitsu Academy. Ariadne earned the recognition of the grappling community as a brown belt, particularly during the 2014 Abu Dhabi World Pro Championship where she shocked the world by submitting multiple time black belt world champion Michelle Nicolini. Oliveira has since become one of the top competitors in the female jiu jitsu division.

Jack McVicker

Jack McVicker is an American martial artist and a jiu jitsu pioneer in the Midwest of the United States where he established his academy McVicker BJJ. A certified instructor in jeet-kune do and Filipino martial arts under Dan Inosanto, and a the first ever jiu jitsu black belt awarded by Wellington Dias, Jack McVicker is also known as one of the most accomplished athletes in the sport’s Masters division.

Matheus Spirandeli

Matheus Spirandeli is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Leandro Lo, being also one of the top heavyweights of his generation. A member of New School Brotherhood, Spirandeli spent most of his formative years competing for Lótus Clube, under Fábio Negão.

Amanda “Tubby” Alequin

Amanda Santana, also known as “Tubby” Santana is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Márcio “Pé de Pano” Cruz, being also one of the top middleweights competitors of her generation, known particularly for always searching for the submission. Originally from Brooklyn NY, Amanda made a name for herself competing in Florida’s grappling circuit, later being acknowledged internationally through important wins at the World Championships, Pan Americans and ADCC trials.

Stephen Roberto

Stephen Roberto is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Enson Inoue, being also one of the pioneers of the sport/martial art in Guam, as well the island’s first black belt – where he established an affiliate of the famous Japanese academy, Purebred. A former mixed martial artist (MMA), Roberto is seen as one of the great developers of jiu jitsu in Micronesia’s US territory, having developed one of the most well established grappling programs in the famous fighting island.

Júlio dos Anjos

Júlio dos Anjos is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Master Júlio César Pereira, being one of the top GF Team representatives in the sport’s under 76kg – 168lbs division. A former student of Jorge Trovão, dos Anjos made a name for himself competing for GFT in the brown belt division, where he conquered numerous important titles before being promoted to black belt (2016).
